Can I extend my dog's import certificate for moving to Thailand, or do they need to do visa runs?

Just brought my dog with an import permit and you have sixty days to use it. Once you get here you pay for two permits. One for them to enter and one if they have never been here. The second permit you need to keep in case you ever leave and want to come back you don’t have to pay a fee again.

I was denied the first time applying and they said nothing. The second time they sent me an email telling me what was wrong and allowed me to correct it.
