 I think it depends on the amount you are transferring. I transferred £20k through my bank for £9:50 took less than 24 hrs.

I transfer direct from my UK Bank. £9.50 charge. Send to Thai bank as UK pounds as a better exchange rate in Thailand and small bank fee.
