I entered Thailand on a visa exempt, extended my visa for 30 days. The immigration officer I saw told my wife for us to come back for a 90 day 'O' visa. My question is what documentation will be required, for the 90 day 'O' visa I already have sufficient funds in a Thai bank, but it would not be in for the 60 days prior to applying for the 90 day. If granted after the 90 day visa I can then apply for a retirement visa as we were told we would have to go to Bangkok for a Marriage/Spouse visa.
Thanks in advance.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user entered Thailand on a visa exempt status and extended it for an additional 30 days. They were advised to apply for a 90-day 'O' visa, specifically for marriage, and inquired about necessary documentation. Although they have sufficient funds in a Thai bank, these funds may not meet the 60-day seasoning requirement prior to the application. Comments clarify that for the 90-day 'O' visa based on marriage, it is essential to align the extension with this reason, and details on Phuket office requirements were shared, noting no seasoning is needed for an in-country application.
