Not all foreigners, only the ones who are grumpy all the times, only the ones who will be never happy wherever they live. Easy for them Thailand have so many international airport for them to go home but their problems are home have more problems than Thailand.

Best never fit with cheap, cheap can have a old battery which you can start the car or old tires will be nice under a big rain. few extra Baht will get you proper thing to drive ;)

Also depend on the approach to the Thai as we all know it. some act like buffalo's to the staff and their file goes down to the pile of it. If show respect and courtesy always never have any problem ;)
