Actually the US Department of state website says anyone applying for a new or renewal passport outside the USA will automatically get the 52 page version.
Hi Carole, I moved here from Vegas (Green Valley). My original visa was the 6 month multiple entry I got from the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles (

). They make regular trips to Vegas as well, usually to one of the Temples in NLV. I was not asked to show any financial or flight info for the application but I did have it ready.
As was mentioned earlier, you can do visa exempt arrivals. Or add a re-entry permit to a single Entry visa.
In the end though, if you have a question about what you see on the application...call the consulate and ask their rules. They vary from place to place and tend to change. The LA consulate staff are nice and speak English. There is also a honorary consulate in Portland staffed by Americans that is super easy to work with.
Tim. If you are on an extension of stay for education and decide to stop going to school or change the type of entry you are on, you need to first cancel the current extension. Not doing so would cause you problems with your new application for an extension or even problems at the airport upon entering.
There is no Thai consulate or embassy within Thailand. And technically you can not buy a visa at immigration. Yes, some people use agencies and pay tons of cash and get it done. But is is not cheap.
I think you need to go through the normal steps of cancellation of your extension, leave Thailand, get a new SETV, return to Thailand, apply for the Non-O extension.
