Sean, they can't do anything to your visa. That visa is yours and not tied to a job (as an extension would be). You can use it until the admitted to date. As to reporting you, I think that would not be beneficial as you both technically were in violation and could cause them problems as well.

Sean, a visa can not be cancelled....but an extension of stay can be. So the question is, are you still in the original visa or did you already get an extension?

Ah...yeah that might be a problem. Their requirements say you have to apply in your home country or country of residence. I was able to show residence in Thailand.

The service center is easy to get to and has an info desk with English speaking staff. I'd recommend going over and asking them.

Americans need a visa for China- no exempt entry.

mentioned. I was given a 10 year multiple entry (even though I asked for a single). I downloaded then dropped off the completed forms on a Thursday and picked it all up the next day.

I'll note that they review your application on the spot and because of my occupation (photojournalism) I was asked to write and sign a declaration that I would not be taking and photos or videos for "work or publication". They provided a template with the wording, I did this sitting there with the agent. Weird but no problem.

the capitalization was 3 million, I had to show a bank balance of at least 25%(750,000) which I already had. The 70k was just fees.
