What i would add to the already good advice, is, don't leave it too close to the current visa deadline. Leave time to sort any hurdles if there are any surprise additional requests.
Update: went to ktb. They filled in a form, didn’t ask me anything. Signed the form. ‘Finished’ asked what I signed told account update finished. That’s all. Take your passport
Or make a polite phone call and tell them you did the report x days ago and it’s pending . I do this every report and they approve it while I am on the phone no problem.
Sorry to hear that, I am lucky in Kanchanaburi Office, last 3 years in and out for extension renewal in 30 minutes. Small office, never more than a handful of foreigners there, very friendly staff. Good luck.
