Ok. I stand corrected.

Korean passport holders have been granted 90 Days visa exempt entries for a long time. Hence many Koreans come and stay in Thaialnd for months at a time without the need for a visa.

For the LA Consulate on an EVisa Application I used my Debit Card. My Visa credit card was declined many times. Last year K-bank was processing payments and because of the security protocols implemented by the bank that issued the credit card the visa payment transaction kept on being declined. My thoughts are that Thai Banks have different security protocols for credit card transactions than foreign banks. Even some Elite Visa applicants have complained about the same thing.

I saw this last week at a bank in CNX. This is one of the big banks in Thailand and now a foreigner needs a long term visa to an open account. I was waiting there last week to see a teller and the new accounts desk rejected 2 foreigners on TR’s who wanted to open an account. Also at this bank a foreigner on an Education Visa must be attending an actual school and not an academy. My guess those who are learning Muay Thai at a gym would not qualify.

This might mean a 1 year policy that has to be renewed every year in order to maintain the validity of the visa for up to the 10 year term. Of course one has to keep in mind "TIT".

I am on a OA and just got back from a few days in Singapore. I showed my health Insurance policy and got stamped in for another year. Keep in mind the max time one gets stamp;ed in for is 364 days. For instance if your new insurance policy expires on Jan 7 2024 and you come back in on Dec 30 2022 then you stamp will indicateDec 29 2023. Either way it is one of the benefits of getting an OA and not maintaining a lot of money in a Thai Bank as well. Happy New Year to all.

Could be. Some years ago a family of 4 arrived from the US and rented a house in Chiang Mai. The landlord was out of the country. The family could not extend their visa’s because a TM-30 was never filed. In the end the only solution was for the family to pay a 6400 Baht fine(1600x4). Do not know how Immigration will deal with this.

Did an E-Visa earlier this year. 1) is simple. Just scan the pages and upload 2) I used my California Drivers license to prove this. Also, a passport would suffice.

The 1900 baht is for extending a visa. The $200 is the actual fee for the OA Visa payable through the E-Visa payment portal.
