No, because they want to see flight details from the Country you're in when you apply.

You can only apply for an evisa if the Country you're in uses the evisa system. Vietnam doesnt use the evisa system.

Many raw food based products are confiscated on entry, a lot depends on how it's packaged.

Chances are it wont be a problem. Tinned and vacuum sealed food products are fine.

said just buy it in Thailand, all the brands are widely available

It's not an extention, its the visa and it's under consideration, which is quite normal, many imm offices do it for everyone, even non imm O's for retirement and marriage, it doesnt mean they have doubts.
