Good question. I’m in a similar situation as the poster. If you rent in two different places, do you need a tm30 and 90 day report for each OR is it one or the other like you’ve mentioned? Thanks 🙏
Hi. Good post. I keep a copy of that letter (which others have posted) and show that copy to the Bangkok bank folks every year when my retirement extension is due. The folks at my branch see it and produce a new one. Repeat process for the next year 😂😂
yes, that’s the case with my Thai health insurance provider. Once you’re in, you can renew at later ages but I’m not sure about getting a new policy once you’re past 70-75yrs.
yes. My extended stay retirement visa expired on my US passport expiration date…the passport expiration date was 3 months before my retirement stamp expired. Immigration said my new retirement stamp can not be changed to the original expiration date. 3 week turnaround sending old passport to US Embassy Bangkok for a new passport.
I got my ED visa in the US. Taught 1 year here and then switched to the extended stay retirement visa. Pretty simple if I remember. Just as mentioned above, have money required in bank account here, get Ed visa canceled, then get retirement visa stamp. I don’t recall any issues so not sure what problems some might be having. No police report needed. I got one before coming here (because I thought it was needed) but it was not used. Maybe I seen a clinic here for medical clearance (that was for my DL here) but it wasn’t anything if it was even needed. Anyway, I have my ED visa cancellation in passport followed by the retirement extension stamp.
