I have only just lodged my application and received the 12 month extension at the main Immigration office "near" the airport. Very convenient in that after the perusal by the IO outside the main building she gave me a "not before" time to come back to counter 9 for the final assessment and approval. Saved me waiting around at Immigration for most of the day.
