@Brian *******
are you sure about the retirement visas as I believed that it was just the elite visas
John ********
Go to the airport today and there will be no problem just a fine or you can have a big problem

is that your opinion, or the thai immigration office

I don't believe that it's going to happen because of the tea money to be made
John ********
Nothing will be done to help us as we are just a pain in the neck to them
John ********
They will stamp her passport

But first they have to say yes
John ********
Ok I've had to do this in Bangkok

Once you have a appointment for the new passport

Take the old one with you and the money with the form

They will take the old passport look it over and give it back to you then they will look over the passport form you have filled in you will have to pay them now and then wait for another appointment to get the new passport, they will then take the old passport off you and cut a corner of the passport and then you will receive a form from them for the thai immigration office, you will also need a form from the thai immigration office to fill in

So you will need 2 forms to fill

You will need two copies of your passport one for the old and one for the new passport

Now be warned that they may ask you for your bank books and then a full bank statement for the year that happened to me I have a retirement visa so be careful

@Steve ******
that's your opinion

For me I simply come to Thailand on a 60 day

And open the bank account put in the money and then go to immigration to go through the process for my retirement visa application all done

No need to worry about health insurance or police clearance
John ********
It's much easier for you to come over to do the retirement visa here in Thailand but you will need a bank account and the money in the bank account in your name

Get a 60 day visa from the embassy in England then you can have some more time to sort it out
