Each embassy location may have different rules for minimum savings amount. Thai Embassy in Los Angeles wanted $17k USD minimum. This was around Feb 2025.

My application also just switched status at the LA Consulate. I applied under Soft Power. Let ‘s see how long it takes from today.

Just buy a $10 usd eSim which operates under a Thai network to activate a local Thai phone number and hence Thai bank app. First time only and then your original country SIM number will open the bank app subsequently. My bank is Krungthai.

/2025 for DTV using thaievisa.go.th. No reason to leave your home in SEA if you have all your docs. I’m a US Citizen. Ask me in 2 weeks if approved.
