Retirement, Disability and Survivor benefits are paid, even if you reside outside of the USA. SSI benefits are suspended and not paid after leaving the USA for 30 days

Do I need to report my stay in Thailand if I'm on a marriage visa for 6 months?

Braulio *********

You are not eligible for SSI if you are outside of the US for more than 30 days. The benefits resume after your have returned to the US for 30 days.

To continue to collect SSI while abroad is fraud and subject to prosecution.

However, retirement, disability or survivor benefits may continue if you live abroad.
