I am flying back to Thailand tomorrow night and entering on visa exempt. This is what the HK embassy told me to do.

I will update here tomorrow to let you all know if I was successful or not.

Not difficult at all if your gonna be in Chiang Mai for 6 months.

Eg:

Land on a single entry tourist visa - 60 days

Extend tourist visa for another 30 days in Chiang Mai

After that

Options:

1. Go get another tourist visa from an embassy/consulate outside of Thailand.

2. Green bus from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai border run 30 days + extension. 1 More border run for another 30 days. Bam.

No difficulty....

Lol, If something is priced in US dollars you pay US dollars or the equivalent

I second that for Hong Kong, super super easy no matter what visa you are getting. Friendly staff and a great city. They also dont stamp your passport so it saves pages :)

I am not entierly sure, however I dont think it will be an issue.
