I last entered Thailand on 11 March on this visa, stamped in until 08 June.
Up until now, staff from my office have been giving their passport/visa to our representative in the office to go to Immigration each 90days if they haven't left the country during this time & this has been free. Should this not have been happening?
I now live in Thailand (working) and know that Bangkok Bank will open bank accounts for tourists providing they have the correct evidence (I don't know what this evidence is). The best branch to go to is Central Embassy as they have a specific "ex-pat" team
From what i understand from looking into this at the end of last year, you need around £
*****
in a UK bank account, an ACRO police record check & medical certificate. You will need to provide all this evidence at the Thai Embassy in London. You will apply for the visa one day & collect the following day.
The staff at the Embassy normally check to make sure you have all the correct documents before they allow you to process your application and take payment.
If this is the visa you want, do it before you leave UK. It's a lot more difficult getting the visa after you've moved to Thailand.
So, to clarify (sorry, probably me being stupid). If I (or my employer) goes to Immigration for my 90 day stamp it will cost 1900baht each time? But if i go out the country its free to come back in for 90days?
Thanks Tod, you have been really helpful. I'll ask if a yearly extension is possible, if not border runs may be the way forward (I've got to go to London in January anyway, so that should give me until April 😊)
/18 (it doesn't have a "enter before"). Under no entries, it says multiple.
I've been told by my employer, that instead of leaving/re-entering, they will go it immigration on my behalf in order to get another 90day stamp, but this will cosy 1900 or 3800baht?
