I didn't check my entry date entering from Laos and only noticed when I went for an extension in Bkk Immigration...while waiting I was prepared to pay the "overstay" charge as I was in the wrong..and pleastanly surprised they did everything free to make the change..this was a few years ago so maybe not the same now..didn't appear to be a big issue.I check now lol

as Tod advised go to immigration in your area to get info of what they request..only thing I can add is double check what they want for photos..I was refused my extension last week because I didn't have a photo of us together outside the house showing the roof,although we had a photo of us outside showing the door and front deck..also had photos us us on the bed,in front of the TV,in the kitchen and also in front of the house number..and it might take several trips to Immigration to satisfy their needs lol.

unique to Korat I think..might not have worked for me as all my neighbours are relatives...in my case what I thought was strange was that all the photos they took, we had to have a mask on..I smiled anyways. But the moral of the story is every Immigration Office can be different.

I think it depends on each Immigration Office..I asked at my local Immigration and they said I still have to report each time..So better to check first where you are located.

then go to Kanchanaburi..easy at border..I doubt will close border.If they did close you couldn't leave Thailand so you wouldn't be stuck in Myanmar.
