 I've never used them for insurance because I've pre-existing health issues. So do mine separately.

Lloyds regularly freeze my card even when using it to pay bills. When overseas I find nationwide best. Plus no shareholders either. They reward longstanding customers too.

I use nationwide with a UK address. They give option of text or email for verification on payments etc, whereas my Lloyds only use text, and I don't use my UK phone in Thailand.

 but you weren't applying for a retirement extension. He is. Different thing to extension based on marriage.

 marriage extension is not what he's applying for. Different thing. It's a retirement extension, less paperwork, much easier.
