You won't be renewing a visa but getting 12 months extension of stay based on retirement.

Get the 1 year extension, based on retirement. 1900 tbt I believe. Just check what your immigration office requires.

Go to his local immigration. Get list of what they require for the 1 year extension of stay. That's a start.
