I found some time ago some article which says that you're able to do 60days tourist visa twice a year. I'll Google it and will paste the proper link. Also time ago on Thai embassy in Poland was that annotation about 180 days as well. It's not only about my experience but also the information I found in the past.
No as I said it doesn't reset. they count since first entry, so within 365 days since first entry, you can be on tourist visa only 180 days... Then you can fly in again but it needs to be different visa (Edu, Non-Immigrant, Marriage, or Type O)... That's what they told me - but it was 3 years ago 🙂
well I got similar situation, 60-day visa + extension by 30 days, visa run and repeat, after 2nd visa run immigration interviewed me for 2hrs and didn't want to allow me enter Thailand. That time I was just a traveler and I left all my stuff in Bangkok, after begging them they allowed me to enter country after I bought return ticket by plane to anywhere else within 30 days. That time Iearned the rule of 180 days...
Normal thing, on tourist visa you can be only 180 days in a year starting from first arrival to Thailand. Once you'll get ED visa you will not have any issues... But... Sometimes to get ED Visa you have to flight into the country on tourist visa and this can be an issue 🤔
Because that stupid app works only on Internet Explorer which has been abandonned by Microsoft already... But you can also do TM30 by yourself in person in immigration - small tip, for sure you can do it in Bangkok.
