We're in the U.S., we'd have to fly back to Thailand to change bank accounts and we only use this account to pay expenses on her house in Samut Prakan. It's about $5k USD for us to fly to Bangkok which seems steep to just change an account. Moreover, even though she has a green card, it's dangerous for a foreign resident to leave the U.S. for any reason right now.
