true but the Non OA has a ton more hoops and hurdles to get through and cost. The Health insurance they ask for is worthless in Thailand. I would personally do the non o and use an agent to open the bank account if needed.

not refusing, just more scrutiny, and Bangkok Bank is the only one I have heard of being super strict.

They are cracking down on multiple border runs, trying to force people to get proper visa.

personally I would use an agent to help you, and have your 400-800k THB equivalent in a bank where you live. An agent can help you navigate the process.
