personally I would use an agent to help you, and have your 400-800k THB equivalent in a bank where you live. An agent can help you navigate the process.

how? Any bank in any country will do the same thing as in use deposits to earn interest for themselves, it simple banking 101.

biggest issue is really all the new Expats trying to cheat the system they have in place.
