Ossie Cassidy not on what visa you’re holding. Though they might ask what are your purpose on having the account. K-bank have other strict rules and strict to open accounts but when its open. Just comply with their requests and you wont have a problem.

I’ve an account with every ”commercial” bank here in Thailand(opened them to see what bank is most foreigner friendly) and K-bank is the least strict one and most foreigner friendly one.

What you explained has never happened to me or anyone around me, and as I mentioned, I have accounts with almost all of the major banks… KTB, Krungsri, K-Bank, UOB, GSB, BBL, SCB… and even credit cards with three of them. Not once have I ever been redirected to my main branches on these accounts.

no they do not. I have all mine opened in Bangkok with nearly all major banks. I do my banking in Chon buri now days, never got told off.

Might have something to do on how you open the account, holding a WP or not etc as such is marked in their systems.

thats weird, for me it have went flawlessly with kbank and UOB.. but have had trouble with bangkokbank, krungsri, krungthai, scb, gsb 🤪

then i suggest you to go back to the branch and ask why. There is two different settings one about min. transfer for face scan and one for the maximum amount to send/pay per day.

the other banks implemented this one to two years ago.. kbank still did it better then all of them, developed thought and then pushed it out.

Have all the major banks so i know what I’m talking about…there is not one bank that you can send over 50k without facial recognition anymore. Kbank was the last one getting it out there
