Kasikorn as an Asset Management Account. Fantastic returns in the past. But be careful at the moment. All markets are over sold and cash is a great position for the next year.
You won't freeze your account but I changed my phone and had to go into the branch. SCB, BKK bank and KK have top banking apps. When you come back go into the branch they will have it up and running in minutes. I believe it's to do with registering the new MAC address. It will still work on your old phone.
You only get your account frozen (Red Flagged) by Wise due to the following:
1, Once you open your Wise account you need to ring their Customer Services Team. They will verify your account and ask how much you are likely to transfer. In my case 100,000 USD.
2, Compliance if a national official Tax Office (IRS or HMRC) can red flag your account.
3, If money doesn't come from your account. It the money is sent from G. Smith US account to a G. Smith Thailand. There should be no issues. As long as you are verified.
I've been using Wise for years and transferred money without any issues.
Personally I don't see a problem. I've had money in my account for years. When I come to extend my visa. Immigration never ask where it came from. The only question I get is how I'm going to financially support my family. I just tell them investments from abroad.
I've found immigration to be really helpful and understanding.
