I always thought the entire purpose of the insurance was in case you get real sick while here. I guess it's in case you tested negative before flying then test positive when you land.

that's news to me, I guess I wasted money then. And it would make no sense but then again this is Thailand, chances of you getting sick within 1st few weeks are lower than catching covid and getting sick later on in your trip

Generally yes, I would think during these times they will need to see your insurance before extending you

Contrary to others I go late afternoon and get in and out pretty quick.

I went a day later and got jammed up at airport because I didn't have new test and go hotel certificate yet, it was 5 in the morning Thai time and I only alerted hotel 10 hours earlier. They had to fax it to Thai immigration to get approval before I could finish checking in and boarding. New certificate arrived while I was traveling.

Thailand will more than likely be closed down again by then because of the new variant.

yep, $200 at JFK airport, I didn't give a shit, it said RT PCR test and I found out about cvs and Walgreens to late I thought. The RT thing throws you off, nobody at CVS would say yes it's an RT-PCR test, they just said it's the test we give to travel.

Like Jeremy said, it's a PCR test and in the end that's what they need.

I had a problem getting an appointment at a time that made me feel comfortable and just said fuq it and did it at the airport.
