Did it twice in Bangkok within 2 days of arrival. At the second time, the officer was a bit hesitant at first, but did it anyway.

What should I do if Qatar Airways cancels my flight and offers an inadequate refund?

They do this when they reschedule the flight - it doesn't necessarily mean that the flight is cancelled. Their wording is unfortunately confusing.

If that's the case indeed, when you log to their website, you should see an option to confirm the change.

Happened to me twice, the flight was delayed by a few hours each time.
