keep track of foreigners. Paranoia. I have no idea. All I know is that it is part of their law for foreigners. Also I personally don't want to pay 2000 baht.
I report because I am a guest here and thankful for that opportunity. I have seen how they expel the Burmese for not having visa's and whatever else. I am American and I don't condone people crossing the border in my country and receiving free everything. That's on our government for doing that, but they should come in legally and go through the immigration process like every other country. A little off from my situation but it's valid as I don't want to be that type of person. I am guest here and thankful for that opportunity and want to obey Thai laws.
I never get emails. Only emails I get are after I submit my application. A friend of mine also gets emails. Maybe my email slipped through the cracks or something.
II just talked to my wife and if they don't approve me, she said she will take mine with her when she goes next month on the 2nd or something. My 90 days expires on April 2, so I do have plenty of time. Hoping they will approve me so I can put this behind me.
Another question. Do people cut their visa when they move back to their country? My visa is still good until October this year and was wondering if people just let it run out normally or do they cut it at immigration when they leave. Sorry, this is all new to me. I have been here 11 years and am moving back home for the first time since I arrived.
