Anonymous participant there’s a saying… yesterdays bullies are todays adults. These people are insecure and mean spirited. Ignore them. Everybody assumes the next person lives the same life as they and therefore already has all the information about the same things. People are stupid sometimes.

there’s a requirement to prove you have 15k American. Enough to live on for a couple years but not 5…I suppose they calculate based on Thai spending habits as opposed to westerners who buy stuff just for the sake of it.

Do airlines or Thai immigration require travelers to show a bank statement or cash for entry into Thailand?

I’ve seen it happen to others in line. They were Somali or Ethiopian. They did not ask me or any other Americans. Safe to say this is only for nations that experience more emigration than tourism. Nothing personal strictly economic.
