Visas or at least extensions can be transferred from one in date passport to another in date passports, I have 2 British passports and have transferred the long stay extension stamp from one to the other whilst both in date at the airport immigration on arrival ,,, but I’m not sure about 2 passports from different countries
Out of curiosity can this printout be updated at any Amphur or must be the original amphur of registry ?
I’m also same situation as one or 2 others have mentioned, been here 17 years and never updated this document and never had any issue, although switched occasionally entry status during some of those years to retirement as less hassle.
I’ve just recently started getting requests from my uk bank for the first time in the 17 years I’ve been here, although I ensure I’m less than 180 days in thailand each year, the rest of the time in mid east or Taiwan, haven’t been back to UK in over 5 years.
Bank continually asking via my online application to confirm my tax residence
you can increase transfer limits within the kbank banking app and make adjustments to that limit, I don’t know what the maximum limit for transfer between accounts is but last month I transfer around 400,000 thb to my wife’s account for final installment of a building project.
I’ve used Revolut for transferring funds from Uk to thailand for years, rates are decent and generally better than transferring direct from my Uk bank, never any issue with transferring
I know it seems a roundabout way but it should work, ask her (if she hasn’t already ) to sign up for a Lazada account, when she proceeds to enter her delivery address each step is made from dropdown selections such as:
House/Plot Number, Street Name/Village, Subdistrict (Tambon), District (Amphoe) and province, she cant go wrong there, she can screenshot that once completed and send the screenshot to you, a slight spelling error could be all that’s wrong there but at least you’d have the proper address
I’ve been denied only once in 17 years of near monthly ins/outs to Thailand on a single trip ticket, incidentally that was Qatar too, although now I’m extensions a few of those trips were visa exempt, although questioned they answered their own question by asking if I was planning to extend once there, (the quantity of previous stamped entries convinced them I guess)
but easy to book an onward ticket but first point of action would be to ask to speak to a supervisor and ask her for the explanation if they still refused.
As far as I’m aware you can’t add another name to the personal account you currently have, you’d have to open a new account if you wanted to have joint accounts and the funds in a joint account can’t be used for proof of funds for your retirement, I have both a joint and a personal account with Kbank that were obtained whilst on a retirement visa.
