Here’s a simple guide for your family applying for DTV Visa in Malaysia:

1ļøāƒ£ Husband – Main Applicant (DTV Visa)

Passport + 2ā€ photo

Completed DTV application form

Bank statement 500,000 THB (must be in his account for at least 3 months)

Any extra documents requested by the consulate

This account can cover the whole family – no need for separate funds for wife or kids.

2ļøāƒ£ Wife – Dependent Visa

Passport + 2ā€ photo

Completed Dependent Visa form

Marriage Certificate (translated to English if needed)

Copy of husband’s DTV visa

Copy of husband’s bank statement

3ļøāƒ£ Children – Dependent Visa

Passport + 2ā€ photo

Completed Dependent Visa form for each child

Birth Certificate (translated if needed)

Copy of husband’s DTV visa

For your situation, both freelance/professional and business owner DTV categories are possible. For future LTR/PR, the business owner route usually looks stronger as it shows economic contribution. Given the uncertain situation at the Thailand–Cambodia border, it’s generally safer to apply from Vietnam or Laos. Make sure all business and tax documents are complete.
