that's how it is printed on the embassy website. However, IF Immigration asks, they will always ask for 20K person and 40K per family. Immigration doesn't care what the Thai embassies publish
yes, you are right, I should have said different Immigration offices. However, different DLT's can indeed have different requirements, too.
For example, some DLT’s don’t accept your yellow housebook and insist on a fresh certificate of residency. Other DLT’s accept the yellow housebook (happened to me!)
You can easily find reports all over Facebook groups from people making different experiences on different DLT's.
And the same, of course, goes for Immigration offices . .
many offices interpret the police orders differently.
For example, Jomtien Immigration is one of these "bad offices" when it comes to an application for the "change of visa type" from a tourist visa to a 90-days Non-Imm-O visa.
They are setting a wholly absurd rule (contrary to what the police order says) for an applicant if he is doing the financial proof by the deposit method, a rule that most cannot comply with
for driving license renewal, I did my residence certificate in Sisaket, two passport pictures required because one of it gets glued to the certificate. 200 Baht fee, because it gets issued on the spot! Different Immigrations, different process
normally. according to the police order, a "certificate of residence" is issued on the spot, given that you show up with two passport pictures and the TM30 registration done
