I called the Thai Embassy in Canada. They told me to apply for a 60 day tourist visa and visit immigration for the extra days. They said usually extra 30 days is not usually a problem but it is Thai immigration that make the decision whether they allow me to stay 90 days or 120 days even with a return ticket. More than likely I will have to to immigration 2x to get the extra 60 days but I have no intention of overstaying.
