I just want to confirm Jesper’s comment. I had to do an online training session which took about n hour. Then at the licence centre some reaction tests. Then hey presto I got my 2 year driving Licence. Honestly. It’s well worth the time spent.
good move. Honestly in Jomtien they were so helpful. She was so apologetic she couldn’t do it there and then. There was a huge queue in the bank and she said if I get the TM 30 come straight back and come to the front to her. Sad,y time was against me
I know. It appears it’s a province issue. I was in Jomtien and they offered to open an account. Unfortunately I was missing a piece of paperwork. But they had no issues at all. Locally to me in Phetchabun and surrounding provinces it’s a complete no no. Both SCB and Kasikorn saying the same.
it’s proving very difficult with Kasikorn. I’ve been turned down by 6 branches so far in different areas. All branches told me they’ve been instructed not to open for foreigners unless in possession of yellow book or am married to Thai.
Apparently they informed me it’s all changed in the last three weeks
If I have a certificate of residence in Phetchabun but wanted to open a Kasikorn account with you can you do this? I am already on 90 day Non O for retirement. Thanks
Forgive my ignorance here, I’m new to Thailand so this. Pretty unique way of doing banking business is new to me 😵💫😵💫
So if I wanted to buy a car from a garage in excess of 500K does that mean I can’t transfer that amount in one go 🥴🥴 are you able to do this from a bank physically going?
