I haven’t been here long but I have a Thai friend and her and her family have been so welcoming. Pretty much everything I thought I knew was wrong, even needing a degree to teach English here, they said noooo, no need, no need. They just do what they like 😂 Also quickly learnt about Thai time too!
There’s really two different types of Thailand, the one that works the way it says on paper and the one that goes on in reality and is still very much the norm here. Which one you want to be a part of is up to you but you’d get no judgment from me.
Us Nek sadly true. They get a lot less friendly very fast if you don’t tip on top of already paying an obviously farang price. All the fake smiles disappear.
