correct the Non-B extension is the only one that requires to show tax paid, has been for decades, no other visa requires this including the DTV (yet). If the revenue department do decide to up the tempo and tax other visa types naturally it will be DTV holders next. Some experts believe the DTV was designed to be a tax trap, which would make sense.

I’m not buying this story, sorry. Only entered/exited 2 times in 1 year, immediately got on a plane back to the UK without heading to the nearest embassy to get a visa, embassy advising which visa should apply for, informs OP they are on immigration blacklist .. I smell troll post.

can do on arrival or get it in advance via the Cambodia e-visa app, it’s all QR code now, just show your phone when you land.

yes that’s the only downside, the visa, need to add 1,200 baht to the flight, but still works out cheaper than KL, 7,000 to 8,000 return if KL, Phnom Penh 4,000 to 5,000 depending on times.

another option is Phnom Penh, half the flight time and cheaper, good timings, leave Bkk 08:30, returning flight 14:00, back in Bkk by 15:20. Can be booked as a return flight (1 ticket). Did it a few weeks ago and will be doing it again next week.

Genki is the better one, Safetywing don’t like paying directly to hospitals, you will need to pay & claim back.

if you watch his videos he is not giving up coz he doesn’t know what’s going on, it’s because of the trolls who keep having a go at him. It’s pure frustration like he is banging his head against a wall, he’s taking the time out to make free advice videos, while there are illegal farangs out there scamming vulnerable expats by charging 1,000 baht for a 30 min tax consultation, scammers that don’t even have an office and are operating out of a condo room. I can fully understand his frustration.

interestingly Ben Hart from Integrity Legal did a video today about these bureaucrats from the west illegally operating as tax advisors here.

Anonymous my advice is steer clear of these Facebook groups, if you do could end up being another sheep 🐑 in the herd, instead follow the Integrity Legal YouTube channel. The speaker on this channel posts regularly about the tax hysteria that’s getting everyone’s knickers in a twist. He is probably the only qualified person to make any real judgment on the subject.

ok thanks for the AI reply but this is in relation to evading income tax. Veniamin was specifically making a point that there is no punishment for not having a tax ID, in which you stated was not true. Stop scaremongering, no one is going to be punished for not having a tax ID.
