if you aren't streaming video over mobile data constantly, you don't need unlimited. Your phone should be able to measure your mobile data usage. I found that 1gb a month is plenty for facebook, google maps, messaging and the occasional voice call. You can get 1gb of mobile data for around 200 baht a month. Mobile carriers always overcharge for unlimited because they are worried about their networks being over burdened

For 800 baht a month, you could have T o T fiber installed in your apartment, 200mbps up 200mbps down. Why use a sim card ?
