TLDR : Answer Summary
During Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) stays in Thailand, all hotels are required to enforce a strict no-alcohol and no-drugs policy. This is a government ruling that applies uniformly across ASQ facilities. Guests are advised not to bring alcohol or unmedicated drugs, though some have suggested that discreetly stashing duty-free alcohol in luggage may be possible, albeit at personal risk as hotels may check bags. This regulation has been a longstanding requirement and not a recent imposition, part of overarching Thai laws regarding substance use. Guests struggling with these conditions are often reminded that the quarantine period is short.

I came in mid December and stayed in ASQ in Bangkok- no alcohol, no drugs, not smoking. If you have important medication bring prescription evidence or label left on bottles

Thai law. Hotels cannot change Thai laws. They might look the other way....or not. But they dare not broadcast their choices or risk losing their license.

I believe it's a government ruling, not an ASQ discretionary matter. Most people have suggested bring your duty free in your bag.

If you are meaning during ASQ stay then yes. EVERY hotel. It’s part of the rules for ASQ hotels. No alcohol. You may get away with bringing your own in a suitcase but some hotels may screen your bags.
