Sold everything and found a bank that had easy international access.

Why not leave it in an American bank until you get here, then pull it out of ATMs in smaller increments. It’d be safer.

Vicky Toshach It is technically called an Extension of Stay. I do not believe you can do it online. You need to take proof of your 800,000 baht in you bank account on the day you reapply, resubmit the application, take your picture, proof of residence, like the first time.

Every 90 day reporting can be done online. Yearly renewal you have to pay 1900baht annually to live here. That’s just the way it is.

I had only a one way ticket, and no forward travel plans. My husband is Thai. I don’t know if that made a difference…

it’s a real catch 22. We went to an agent who took us to the bank and “open them an account” and -voila! Problem solved:)
