Hi Bertie. Depending on your age and criteria you may be eligible for an ltr visa which is by far the best visa to have if you qualify.

The 2 main hospitals down there are Bangkok hospital and memorial both very good. Don’t forget Bangkok is only 2 hours away should you decide to choose one of the ones there like bumrungrad etc

Using an agent is fine unless it’s one of the ones you had from here where they say you don’t have to attend to get your license etc. that’s a scam and totally illegal and if you did that then that license card you have isn’t valid at all.

is absolutely right. If possible open it where you love the system here is even the same bank but different branches will treat you completely differently they’re almost run like completely different businesses so absolutely save yourself a lot of hassle and stress and open where you live if possible
