What should I do when changing my passport after being granted a DTV visa in Thailand?

I went to depart Phuket after getting a new Aus passport. Forgot to bring my old one with my last entry stamp. Was sent to counter 1. Called my partner who took photos of my passport pages back at the house. Showed to IO and they did a special stamp in my new passport effectively "transferring" the last stamp in my old passport to my new passport. I was very lucky not to miss my flight... should've known better 🤦‍♂️
