I concur with Tod. I think what you were wondering is why they did not give you Sept 1, your intended arrival date, as the validity start of your Visa. I did the same thing. I applied on July 16 and put Sept 1 as my intended arrival. When they released the VISA, they put July 17 as the start date of my VISA expiring 90 days after. I think the start date is when the VISA is released. Had I known, I would have delayed applying for the VISA.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply to my post. The screenshot I posted is from the official website. It is quite possible that it is outdated. I will find out whether a health insurance is indeed a requirement once I start my online application and is requested to provide one. I will keep you all posted.

Am I looking at the wrong document? In section 5 of the screenshot, it mentions health insurance.
