Ok, today we logged in. See pic below. I don't have the faintest idea what we can do with that account. Have a dashboard where you can change profile, password, name, but nothing special. If I choose from the menu online service I got the same replies as without account. TM30 reporting with that FN hotel form procedure,which I don't understand. (Anyone do?)

David Broadfoot What can I/we do with that account? Only TM30 ? I'm still waiting my landlord appears so we can try. Only a Thai can apply as a Thai ID number is necessary.

Scott Gouker Unfortunately there is no consistency.. I also went to Surat Thani immigrations and had problems to get the stamped receipt but finally got it. I asked my landlord to open a account for the TM 30 so we can use that next time. Will check if he has opened already the account.

Tod Daniels After unsuccessful here at Surat Thani ( Khiri Ratnhikom / Khrungthai Bank) I flew last week to BKK and went to Bangkok Bank Rama lV road. At the door a nice lady with low English repeatedly said -can not-need work permit )to my request to open an account. I nicely asked to talk to the manager and I were allowed to go upstairs. Nice english speaking lady,small talk and she agreed to open account,only need passport copy with stamp from German Embassy. I went there ( around the corner, sathorn road) and were back at the Bank 30 mins (!) later. The rest was done quickly and professional. Debit card, savings book, online and SMS service. Only = no Visa only Union pay which I finally accepted after she credible explained BB no longer offer Visa debit cards only CC which I don't want. So I took the card ( without the insurance stuff). All done smoothly. Just to give you latest details on opening bank account for Farangs.

When I got my TR visa in Berlin they just put in a small piece of paper explaining exactly the meaning of validity. Well done.
