I've never been searched. Live in Thailand. I would just bring 12 months worth in your carry on. Or of youre feeling paranoid, use the old prison wallet.

I tried to do the income based one, and not keep money in the bank, I dont like banks. But they asked for information and stuff I could not provide. Like a work contract, a W2, letter from employer, over 80k a month in to my account was not enough for me

its a crapshoot. You might get lucky and get through, but highly unlikely. Just put the 800k in the bank and forget about it.

You have to have the payments going in to your account for 12 consecutive months.

I've tried to get someone a visa. Had everything needed, land, bank accounts, job, references. Everything. Denied 2 times. So, I'm also speaking from experiences.

And eventually may try again, after I open a business, and buy some land.

go back to last year on this group. You'll see the same stories. People that have houses, businesses, jobs, and lots of money and ties to Thailand get denied over and over. It's nothing new. There's been no changes made to legal immigration so far. There might be in the future. I'm not defending trump. I didn't vote for him. And he's done many things I don't agree with. But he's not messed with legal immigration.

you think ABC, NBC, CNN and such give truthful news? If you do, you should seek help. They all program people to think what they want. Personally, I don't watch any of it. Because it's all tailored to make you hate the other side, and believe you're on the right side. I watched about 2 hours of news in 2024. And that was all election night. And switched back and forth between fox and NBC, ABC.
