@Kri***
. I was on an OA without work prohibited stamp when I first started at my Uni 7 years ago. I did get WP & job but many IO’s don’t like it. I then changed to ‘B’ because it’s easier.

@Da***
. You have a tourist visa and working?

If so, how did you get your work permit &/or teachers license?

Yep, same as me in the ‘sub-branch’ to Ubon(Sisaket).

Sounds like exactly what I did a couple of months ago

As you please doesn’t translate into Thai (Joke)

Just one small point. With a retirement extension, you can use a combination of bank money & income. This is not available on a ‘marriage’ ext, just one or the other.

I believe the office is within Rajaphat Uni, Ubon but maybe a ‘local’ can confirm????

I did it a decade ago so may have changed but best to ask at your local Amphur (Town Hall) as each is usually different. I do remember that the village head (poo Yai Baan) had to go with us and bring his blue book (as you have to do too). It’s wasn’t a ‘one time visit job’ but it might be easier now especially if the staff are used to dealing with the process.

A yellow book is nothing to do with the ownership of the house. It’s a form of identification for a foreigner stating where he/she lives. It is NOT a replacement for a Thai owners blue book.
