Wanted to transfer €10,000 from Ireland and Wise wanted to charge me €170 and my bank was €15. Never tried Wise before but had an account setup but based on my experience would not use it going forward. Perhaps I was doing something wrong though. Also I had to wait 2 days through my bank and perhaps Wise would have been much quicker.

How can I successfully open a bank account in Thailand for a Non-O visa?

Opened our accounts in K Bank at Central World in BKK without issue, just needed a 12 month rental agreement, our passports and our 90 day eVisa that we used to arrive from Ireland. No insurance required and all without an agent.

When we came over last year we used justcover.ie We are both in our late 60’s and early 70’s. We got 12 months cover and it was €230. We are from Cork.

I am flying in soon and I have been told yes even though applying for Retirement Visa once arrived otherwise they will not allow to fly in
