Why do some Thai people seem to take advantage of tourists?

Very justifiable thing to be concerned about. I’m moving there and I’m certainly gonna plan on having help from a local in any negotiations. For one thing, I’ve heard that if you were in a vehicle accident, you will be blamed and you will pay.

great point. I wonder if three months is the most coverage you can get? What if you live in Thailand six months and the US the other six months?

Why was my wife's DTV application canceled due to an incorrect passport expiry date?

I guess something can be said for getting the very cheapest visa that you can, at first, just to see if you pass that test. Maybe just go into the country and get the “free” entrance. At least then your passport will be checked. Then I wonder if you can see how your passport got recorded into their system.

Why are USD old bills not accepted in Myanmar and how can I manage to get cash?

I had to go look at my bills. I just got some from my US bank. The $100 bills are all blue striped. The $50 bills are not.
