@Tod ********
yeah i was refused boarding before because i hadnt got onward travel. After alot of complaining and messing about they made me sign some kind of declaration that if i was refused entry i would personally cover all costs involved.

They need to show proof at UK when boarding that they have tickets out of Thailand before the 30 day entry stamp ends if they dont already have a visa. If they dont they risk refusal of boarding at UK. Was refused myself at airport although i sorted it by signing a weaver but i think that was an exception.

You ( may ) have issues boarding in the UK without a visa because your ticket is 6weeks and not 4 on the exempt. Play safe and buy a bus ticket or cheap flight out to a nearby Country. Ive been refused boarding in the past

Having a visa doesn't make any difference to the airline unless it is a visa such as a long term

A solution people use is buy a very cheap flight out of thailand to Cambodia or somewhere even if not going to use it. This shows onward travel.

Its really up to and depends on the airline. But i do know ,if you didnt have a return or onward travel and you got refused entry at BKK that is the airlines responsibilty and they are the ones that have to pay the heavy fines and costs.

I myself have been initially denied boarding from London Heathrow to BKK because i did not have a ticket out of Thailand. My return ticket was from Manila as i intended to buy my ticket bkk to Manila when i was in Thailand.. After alot of messing about and arguements i was allowed to sign a disclamer that id pay any and all the airline costs if i was denied entry at BKK. I was lucky enough to blag that. I know of a few that have been denied boarding without return tickets or proof of onward travel

Its 25-30 quid for a 60day tourist visa in UK. Why not pay it and save yourself any hassle
