As suggested but also take the walk up to Hellfire Pass. Not too far but worth the effort. I also went to the Jeath Museum across a lane from the Commonwealth Cemetery

If you already have the Thai Pass, you have the required insurance to enter.

O-A requires Health Insurance, not an O Visa. Check what you have.

Ben, you are confusing Health lnsurance required by OA Visa and Travel(covid) Insurance required for entry in to Thailand.

An O Extension does not require proof of Insurance but to get the Thai Pass you need travel insurance, normally for 1 month, to qualify for the Thai Pass.

Also need a reentry permit before you leave.

I believe Thais can travel to Thailand on an expired Thai Passport. I guess transiting anywhere may be a problem.

whatever you want to call it, you will not be able to go straight to the gate. You will need to go to a check in counter to have your documents checked and your boarding pass printed.
