What are the experiences with booking flights through Scoot and lastminute.com?

I wouldn't recommend booking with Scoot airline and lastminute. com. It seems their communication is s*** 😱

Lastminute. com emails and website confirms my flight is on the 14th of April.

Today 13th of April, 11pm, 23hrs before my flight, I was trying to do the check-in but it was impossible.

Somehow, Scoot check-in says our flight was on the 12th April πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

We callled Scoot and they keep saying we missed our flight. Insane!

We had to rush and get new tickets with Emirates to make sure we arrive on time for the PCR etc... But I really hope they don't mess around with more people...

I suggest looking at Scoot website (flight schedule) before paying to an agency for a fake flight.

Anyway! Suggest us good places to celebrate if we finally make it in Bangkok! πŸ˜… happy to party during the weekend. I think we deserve free drinks in the Hungover Rooftop 🀣

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler had a disappointing experience with Scoot airline and lastminute.com, claiming communication issues led to missing their flight. Despite confirmations of a flight for April 14th, they discovered their flight was actually on April 12th. After rushing to rebook with another airline, they shared their concerns about booking through third-party agencies and cautioned others to check the airline's website. The discussion attracted comments reflecting similar frustrations and experiences from others who had trouble with Scoot or lastminute.com.

You think lastminute.com is a safe bet, due to the name. But it isn't. Many of my few serious issues were with these fucking idiots. I remember being without a hotel room around 4am new years Day in Bangkok with no response. Never use lastminute.

Have never had a problem with Scoot here out of Australia but I've always booked direct though them not a 3rd party website
Brian ********
Always booked direct with Emirates excellent service
Chris *****
Why book 3rd party, I'd rather pay Β£50 extra to book direct. A big shout out to Qatar Airways, I've cancelled twice with them in the last year full refund within 3 days no questions, it seriously is worth booking direct
Joel *******
If you booked on a credit card, call your card and ask for a 'Section 75' against LastMinute. You should get a full refund
Da *****
scoot are fucking cnuts. i will never use them again.

Back on March 2nd bought full flex with Lastminute for a flight on June 10, asked to change to March 8 they emailed me and said they had forwarded my request to the relevant department and after that I never heard back. Now they advise my ticket is non refundable and a voucher is up to the discretion of the airline. Currently in the process of dispute through Visa Credit Card to turn the transaction around.

Stay away from Lastminute!

that’s awful. thanks for the heads up i will avoid these in the future. i hope you get a full refund from your bank. enjoy your holiday mate πŸ‘πŸΌ

Hope you booked on a Credit Card, contact them to claim your money back

Ive seen scoot before, I have always avoided booking with them just because of the name scoot, silly name says you will be dealing with silly people lol

I don’t get why people continue to use a third party website to book a flight online when you can book direct? It would save so much risk of miscommunication

it's a normal, and best deal option shown in Skyscanner... All my friends use it. I always did and use it to travel abroad 4-5 times a year.

This was my first bad experience, and that's why I want to share it 😊

Sorry for you mate. I was almost in the same boat with you. I flew to Bangkok with that Scoot flight you missed (TR 753 on 12th), and actually I almost decided to book with Lastminute because they offered the best price according to my search on Skyscanner. But I did a bit of search on google and found negative reviews and so I decided to spend a few more quids to book on the website of Scoot.

I would say the flying experience was awful for me. I am 1.9 metres tall and overweight and they gave me a middle seat despite my request for a window or aisle seat. I sat in the middle of two big guys. The dude who sits in front of me stored some of his shit under his seat, restricting my legs. He also reclined his back of the seat to maximum for most of the journey. You can imagine the nightmare. In the last hour of the trip I went to the toilet and found that nearly ALL the seats with additional leg room are EMPTY. The cabin service was not satifactory.

The price is really good but I don't think I will use this flight again. I have flown with other budget airlines and found them better.

Also make sure you go to the right Gatwick Terminal for Scoot. It is now Gatwick South. Not North as before. South Terminal opened up 3 wks ago 😊
Brian *******
You cannot check in online. You need to present Thai Pass, Vax Cert, insurance cert, test receipt, and hotel receipt to airline staff.
David *********
@Brian ******
you can checkin online but they don’t give you the boarding pass untill they check your documents
Nick *******
@Brian ******
, Some Airlines you can check in online.
Nick *******
Yes we all know that. But as i said from the beginning. U CAN check in online. Phew. Some people on here just hav to argue.
Brian *******
@Nick ******
whatever you want to call it, you will not be able to go straight to the gate. You will need to go to a check in counter to have your documents checked and your boarding pass printed.
Brian *******
@Nick ******
not to come to Thailand
Nick *******
@Brian ******
You can on VIP service.
Bob **********
@Brian ******
at this time you should only book direct with the airline as many flights are cancelled and tough to get a refund through a booking site

I just checked-in with Emirates mate.

Check-in is just to chose the seats and actually to make sure the flight exist before going to the airport.

As the flight I paid for didn't exist!!!

My new flight is tomorrow and I don't have a problem showing everything printed. Even a visa, that's the easiest part πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
Brian *******
@Mariakata ********
do you have your boarding pass already?
Brian *******
@Mariakata ********
didn't know that. How did the airline check your paper mountain?
Darren *******
Just shows why you should book direct with an airline and not with a 3rd party. A quick look on Scoot's website shows they don't fly that route on Thursdays.
